Our History
The Peddie Environmental & Sustainability Team (PEST) was revived in the fall of 2017 under the leadership of Dr. Shani Peretz and several passionate students.
It is a student-run organization that operates through Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey.
The mission of PEST is to primarily to educate members of its school community on modern environmental issues in the hopes of making them global stewards while inspiring them as they head out into the real world as the leaders, thinkers, and caretakers of “tomorrow”.
The organization also provides opportunities for students to brainstorm and make beneficial changes in their own local community, as well as communities beyond the scope of Hightstown.
PEST hopes to form a coalition with other sustainability programs/organizations at other high schools in the near future to share its mission and cooperate on larger projects.
